Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-08-26. Draft — pending owner approval before public launch.

Welcome to AnyGuess, a face-deduction game for any theme you can type. By using AnyGuess you agree to these terms.

Who may play

You must be 13 or older to use AnyGuess. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.

The service

AnyGuess lets you create private game rooms, generate card decks from themes you type, and play with people you invite. Decks are assembled by AI language models and illustrated with photographs from Wikimedia projects (each under its own free license — see Credits) or with typographic cards.

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time. We aim for the game simply to work, but we do not guarantee availability.

Your content

Themes you type, names you choose, and chat messages you send are yours. By submitting them you grant us the limited license needed to operate the game — to process, display, and transmit them to the people in your room.

If you later choose to publish a deck to a public catalogue (a feature that requires an account), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that deck within AnyGuess for as long as it stays published. You can unpublish at any time.

Rules of conduct

Do not use AnyGuess to harass anyone; to create content that sexualises anyone, targets people with hate, glorifies recent mass violence, or is about private individuals or minors (see the Content Policy); to probe, overload, or abuse the service; or to infringe anyone's rights.

We may block content, close rooms, or restrict access to protect players or the service.

AI-generated content

Deck contents are produced by AI language models and may be wrong, outdated, or oddly matched to your theme. Cards labelled "AI illustration" show AI-generated artwork, not photographs. Nothing in a deck is a statement of fact by us.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content on AnyGuess infringes your copyright, email legal@anyguess.app with the material's location, your contact details, and a statement of your good-faith belief. We respond to valid notices under the DMCA.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AnyGuess and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, for the free tier, is zero).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use AnyGuess after a change means you accept it.
